The Garden Route is a popular and scenic stretch of the southern coast of South Africa.

It stretches from Mossel Bay in the Western Cape to the Storms River which is crossed along the N2 coastal highway over the Paul Sauer Bridge in the extreme eastern reach of the Western Cape. The name comes from the shrubbery near the coast.

Stormsriver Adventures and our local children get in on the 2010 spirit!  On Friday the 11th June we had our local kids from the area and the primary school join us for a "2010 Get into the Spirit" session. We started off at our adventure centre where our diski team, Team Chesta, opened with a diski dance whereafter they divided the kids into smaller groups and showed them how to diski! By the way, Team Chesta, is 100% local, they consist out of our staff / guides from Stormsriver Adventures! We are proud of you guys!  With flags and balloons in hand our kids marched with parents, care takers and staff to the community hall to watch the opening game! Our fun bus went along and helped the little kids make the journey. Once all had arrived we gave the kids a meal and sat down to watch the opening match in anticipation! Wow what a match it was! Under supervision from caretakers within the community the children can watch the imoportant games including Bafana Bafana matches, quarter and semi finals as well as the final game!
